Emmie and Zane's Wedding

Emmie & Zane - April 18, 2009

We had so much fin at Emmie & Zane’s engagement session, we knew their wedding day was going to be wonderful. They are such a sweet and fun couple!

I have to say, I got a little carried away with the images for this wedding, so there are a lot of images below!

Emmie preparing for her wedding day

Emmie

One thing I love about wedding days is being a part of the preparations. With Emmie’s wedding, is was absolutely beautiful. From simple imagery of her hair and makeup getting done, bridesmaids helping her into her dress, to some incredible artistic imagery throughout, it was absolutely wonderful. Emmie is a gorgeous bride, and lots of fun to work with.

The things that stuck out to me throughout the entire day with Emmie was how much love she had: for Zane and for her family. It was really neat to see the bond between her and her mother, as well as how close she was with her dad.

Family is one of those things that really touches me. To see how welcoming Emmie’s family is just brings a smile to your face.

They couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for their ceremony. Gorgeous weather, a few puffy clouds in the sky to add character to the sky, and a wonderful outdoor ceremony. The image up top is one of my favorites from their ceremony. I had a hard time choosing which ceremony images to include, so there are several more in the slideshow below (including a shot of my on the ground for the the image above).

Emmie and Zane at Dara's Garden

Emmie & Zane

After the ceremony, we had some time to play with them. The scenery at Dara’s Garden is absolutely gorgeous. It was easy to see how in love Emmie and Zane are as we gave them just a little bit of time to themselves.

We set them up in a location, step away, and just see how they react to being together. I love to see real emotion between people, and they made it easy for me to capture from really nice artistic imagery.

There are a few more images of the two of them during this “alone time” below.

The reception was perfect. They had a great band playing out on the patio, a dance floor set up just below, and some things you don’t see at weddings. Instead of a wedding cake, they has banana pudding! Along with that that they had a fire pit and SMORES!

Smores

Smores!

Yes, they had everything set up for smores! I think this was the first time I had seen smores at a wedding. It was a neat and fun touch to their reception.

All-in-all, it was just an absolutely beautiful wedding day. Leigh and I were honored to be a part of it. It is couples like this that make us so thankful to be in the photography business.

To us, it is so much more than just being there to photograph a wedding. It is capturing images that show the love, emotion, and essence of the entire day. I hope you enjoy the rest of the images below as much as we enjoyed capturing them.
