I just love Autumn. The fall colors around the Smoky Mountains are absolutely beautiful! Depending on the year, the colors can be out throughout most of October, and even into November, like it was for Whitney & Chris’ wedding out at Ridge Valley Farms. The day couldn’t have been better for their outdoor wedding down at the gazebo. Heather with Simplicity Event Planners put together a wonderful event for them!
Everything was just gorgeous. From the decorations, the entertainment, and the entire day was spectacular. We got to play with them a little bit after the ceremony, taking in the autumn colors as well as the beautiful scenery around Ridge Valley Farms.

The Autumn colors were out in full force for Mary & Eric’s wedding day. Even though there was a slight chill to the air, their outdoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful! I just love it when I see grooms filled with emotion during the ceremony. From the moment he saw her, he was on the verge of tears. You could just tell how much she meant to him.
Their reception was held in the ballroom below. It was very elegant, intimate, and beautiful. The General Morgan Inn is a perfect location for Autumn weddings (and throughout the year as well!). It has become one of my favorite locations to photograph!

It was a beautiful October day for Katherine & Scott’s wedding day at Whitestone Country Inn. They had a very elegant wedding ceremony in the chapel. They planned to meet before the wedding, so we set Scott up at the gazebo, with Katherine coming up from behind to meet him. After leaving them alone for a few minutes together, we took care of all the family formals before the ceremony.
They had probably one of the best receptions I’ve seen this summer. Boys Night Out got everyone up and dancing with their entertaining music. It was a real party! Check out the photos we posted on Facebook to see more!

This was such a wonderful and intimate destination wedding! We started with Valerie & Richard the night before with a couples session all across Wilmington, NC, which was just a wonderful experience.
The following morning, we met back up with Valerie as she was getting ready for her wedding. I love the colorful wedding dress she chose, along with her unique wedding bouquet. Instead of holding a bouquet, her flowers flowed from her shoulder, all the way down her arm, then flowed almost all the way to the ground. The white flowers looked gorgeous across the dress!
The beach ceremony was wonderful. They couldn’t have asked for better weather. Everything felt intimate, loving, and full of joy. It was a real honor for us to be there!

I’ve known Valeria ever since grade school. I was thrilled when she called us to photograph her destination wedding with Richard. We came down a day early and spent the first afternoon and evening photographing a couples session with the two of them.
We started at a park in Wilmington, then headed to Wrightsville Beach to capture some moonrise images with the two of them on the beach. Riverfest was also going on in downtown Wilmington, so we headed downtown just in time for the fireworks.
We also headed over to The Basics, which is a downtown restaurant where the two of them had their first date together. It was really neat to visit all of these places and find out the history that brought the two of them together as we ventured across the area!

It was a real pleasure to meet Rachel and Jason. With the two of them both living outside of Tennessee, I started to get to know Rachel over the phone. She is such a friendly person, you can’t help but be her friend!
Jason’s family held the wedding on their riverfront property in Louisville, TN. The location made for some incredible imagery, and the day was absolutely beautiful wedding weather! They even released butterflies as part of their ceremony.
The intimate reception was held at the Air National Guard base in Alcoa. Check out their wedding images on Facebook – they had a wonderful time at the reception!

We really enjoyed being a part of Julia & Wesley’s wedding. There were so many opportunities to play with them, that we had a hard time choosing the photos that went into their album! Even so, I think Jo did a nice job with the layout.
With just a few tweaks here and there, the album was approved quickly and made for them. Most of the albums we pre-design get a few images swapped out, or maybe a few minor changes made. Our idea behind the pre-design is go give our couples a head-start on the album creation process. Most people swap out 3-5 photographs, then approve the layout. It used to take a year or two to get albums approved. Now it just takes a couple of months! Head on over to Facebook to see the entire album layout.

It was a gorgeous (but very hot) day for Angela & Shane’s wedding day at Twin Cedar Farms. What stood out to me was how much love there was. Not only between Angela and Shane, but also the closeness they had with family. It was a real pleasure to be around all the group hugs, friendships, and emotion that played out throughout the day.
From the details, through their first seeing each other before the wedding, and all throughout the ceremony and reception, there were so many memories being made that day. I could tell they were a little playful during their engagement session, but they were even more so during the wedding reception. For me, this wedding really combined family, run, and romance all into one wonderful couple! Check out their gallery on Facebook below for more photos from this fun day!
